Project Title: “Targeting CNS myeloid population through bone marrow transplantation in EAE mouse model”
Despite advancements in the treatment of MS, some patients do not respond to current MS therapies. Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) is a type of bone marrow transplantation that is currently being studied as a potential therapy for treatment-refractory and aggressive forms of MS.
Dr. Wu’s research will study ways to make HSCT more effective, which in turn may guide new treatments to repair damage to the nervous system.
