Ann Romney

Ann Romney, the former First Lady of Massachusetts, was honored for her invaluable leadership in the fight to defeat multiple sclerosis and all neurologic diseases. Through her inspiring book “In This Together,” Romney shared her personal experience with MS. She is an ambassador for the health of the whole brain and spearheaded pathbreaking MS research by helping establish the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital.

“I am honored to receive the Public Leadership in Neurology Award from the American Brain Foundation. The real credit though goes to the 250 researchers at the Ann Romney Center for Neurologic Diseases, who work every day to find therapies and cures for MS, Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s, ALS, and brain tumors. They inspire me and give me hope every day.” – Ann Romney
