Jimmy Erwin is the Executive Vice President of Chicago Title Commercial in Houston, Texas, where he directs the company’s marketing activities and combines his 31 years of experience in the title insurance industry with a background in business and finance. He is also the President and Co-founder of the Will Erwin Headache Research Foundation (WEHRF), which he established in 2014 with his wife, Pam.
The Erwins’ named the Foundation in honor of their son, Will, who began suffering from migraines in 2008. With no effective treatment available, Will’s condition worsened, progressing into debilitating cluster headaches. After years of trying to find relief for his excruciating pain, he realized that resources were limited for people like himself and there was no cure. Because of the excruciating pain and with no hope in sight, Will took his own life in 2010 at the age of 24.
Through the WEHRF, the Erwin family continues the journey started by their courageous son. The Foundation’s mission is to find a cure for debilitating headaches and bring relief to all those who are afflicted with debilitating headaches such as migraine and cluster headaches.
The WEHRF has partnered with Memorial Hermann Health System and the McGovern Medical School at UTHealth as well as with other researchers and physicians committed to finding a cure. The Foundation provides funding for The Will Erwin Headache Research Center as a place where people can seek treatment and experts can come together to research various headaches such as migraine and cluster headaches.
